What's going on is that now we're downloading another program called Cockpit to monitor Saturnine-U.
Considering our server doesn't have a GUI, this will be interesting.
PPA - Personal Package Archive, when you can’t use the standard repository archives.
We have to add it to our repository, It’s not in the standard ones - and all this;
Tells us about keys.
With sudo apt update, the Cockpit repository information is added to our list.
And with the install command, Cockpit is now installing onto our machine.
It took a bit of a long jaunt.
It works via tcp port 9090, so let’s put in sudo ufw allow 9090/tcp
Again, still haven’t puzzled out that “Hey, this Macbook and this Windows 10 machine are your family too,” kind of deal with this server, so let’s pretend that we totally can access it like normal people.
Pretending!
There are charts that show CPU, memory usage, I/O.
You can also add other servers using the service if need be, and see storage systems set up to your server.
Or, you could, if we had the capability here.
