Did you know?
Before Covid-19, employers were rather stingy on helping graduates, new or not so new, with internships, often having a very limited time frame that they cared about you.
Not so with Deloitte and InsideSherpa! Check it out here. It was free, and a project to talk about, so I did it. Turns out that consulting is pretty cool.
I've enjoyed thinking about the best solutions to bring a business to the cloud, or online.
It's not all just 'Set up a Cloud account and have at it'. My Azure certification gave me a leg up on one of the projects; I was more minute than they expected at points.
It did show me that I can do remote work; Work is often already an invasion on someone's life and time. Being able to take my time and work when I wanted to without being burned out was a nice perk.
If you still have your school e-mail address, you can sign up with that. I haven't tried it with a business address.

- Optimization and Delivery
- Technology Strategy and Innovation
The fourth segment is a video interview to pitch yourself, which is optional.

Cloud Engineering was the most fun. There's a lot of
'outline all the tech considerations'. Things I thought were important
... were still important. I was thinking big picture, and didn't think a
tech company wanted to hear something minute - "Consider the OS" - But
they did, and it's good to know people care about details.
Here is a section from a Cloud Engineering segment:
You are more than welcome to put the completed course on your resume and LinkedIn page.
If companies want to be seen as caring, modern, flexible places someone may want to invest their time into...they should consider a virtual internship program. This is actual, tangible help.
